The USASA Region I U23 Cup will take place on the weekend of July 12-13, 2008 at the Ukrainian American Sports Center (Horsham, PA) and the United German Hungarian Club (Oakford, PA). Competition in both, men’s and women’s category will determine which team will represent the region at the USASA National Finals being held at the Starfire Sports Complex in Seattle, WA on August 7-10. Format
Tournament play with group matches on Saturday, July 12. The semifinals and finals will be played on Sunday, July 13. In the men’s tournament, 16 teams will take part. In the women’s tournament, 10 will compete.
The teams are placed in groups of 3 or 4. The group winners will advance to the semifinals on Sunday. Matches in group play will be either 60 minutes or 70 minutes in length, depending upon the number of teams in the group. Teams should expect to play 2 or 3 games on Saturday. Eligibility for the Under 23 Cup are players born on or after August 1, 1984. Teams may bring rosters of up to 22 players.
There will be a $200 game fee that is due at the tournament. The fee is to help offset the costs for referees that weekend. Checks are to be made payable to USASA Region I.
Teams will need to check-in one hour prior to their first match. Bring the certified Official Player Pool Form (along with 5 copies) and player passes. Registration of players and passes are to be taken care of by the respective state association/regional league. The copies of the Player Pool Forms will be used for each match and given to the match officials prior to the start of the game.

Region I Under 20 Cup will be held at Manalapan Soccer Complex, Manalapan, New Jersey on July 19-20, 2008.
Although the U20 Cup is no longer part of USASA’s National Cups, this competition is still held alongside the other divisions at the Region I and II Cups.
2008 Region II Men’s U20 champion is 1790 Cincinnati (Ohio) who came out on top of the round robin format over teams from Wisconsin, Kansas and Indiana. Once (Region I) Men’s Champion is crowned on July 20, a championship tournament between 1790 Cincinnati and Region I’s winner will be held on July 26-27 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 2009, Region II Champion will travel to a Region I tournament.
Region I U20 Cup Men’s teams include: Kappa Real Wyckoff U20 (NJ); Montclair Hurricanes (MSSL); Howell United Hammer (MSSL); Baltimore Bays 89 (MD); Phoenix U20 (E-PA); LaGrande Red Devils (E-NY); Potomac Cougars (MD); Ambassadors FC (MD).
Women’s teams: Southhampton Crunch (E-PA); FC Bucks Spirit (E-PA); North Rockland Lady Storm (MSSL); Den of Lions – BOM Alliance (MSSL); South Central Premier (MSSL).
