- Deadline for USASA’s Implementation Volunteer Questionnaire is December 10th

USASA is looking for leaders! The USASA Implementation Volunteer Questionnaire is designed to give USASA members an opportunity to be part of the strategic planning process. - WPS Calling All Extraordinary Soccer Videos

WPS is searching for non-professional, grassroots soccer-related videos. The kind you see on YouTube and other video sharing sites that you feel are Extraordinary. They are looking for crazy tricks, outstanding moves, amazing goals, and crazy plays during practice or a game (non-professional), but generally anything extraordinary and amazing in regards to soccer will do. It could even be an extraordinary trick someone did with a soccer ball in the backyard.

Submitted videos can be a video of you, your friends, old, young, girls, boys, etc. Please send links and submissions to:

- The Anticipated News of the USASA National Cups 2009

The USASA National Cups will kick off its 2009 championship at the Seminole County Sports Training Center in Sanford, Florida on July 24-26.

We wish the best to all participating teams as they advance throughout the state and regional tournaments.

Coed Cup

It was definitely a hot month for USASA events. Also in October, the Coed Cup kicked off big in Dallas. If you did not have the privilege to participate or enjoy a weekend filled with co-ed soccer, it’s okay. Because we know traveling to the Longhorn State twice in a month can be strenuous, we bring you the USASA Coed Cup Photo Albums; action shots, participating teams, referees, to name a few. - New England Soccer Hall of Fame

An Induction Ceremony for the New England Soccer Hall of Fame was held on November 1 in East Providence, Rhode Island. Click here to see the event in pictures.



- Veteran’s Cup Committee Looking for Contacts for 2009

The United States Adult Soccer Association will hold the 2009 Veteran’s Cup on July 7-12, 2009 in Lancaster, Massachusetts. Play is offered for women’s and men’s teams from Over-30 to Over-60.

Each team that enters the event is guaranteed three 90-minute matches.  In each division prize money of $750 is given for first place winners and $250 for second place finishers.

The Veteran’s Cup Committee is looking for email addresses for teams and players to keep them informed on activities leading up to the 2009 event.

- National Cups Photos now available!

The biggest amateur soccer tournament in the nation came to a close on Sunday, August 10 as teams in the Men’s and Women’s Open, Amateur, Over 30 and U23 divisions competed for the national title at the Starfire Sports Complex in Seattle, WA. Thirty-two teams opened up play in Friday’s semifinals (August 8) where only half advanced to the final round.

- Veteran’s Cup 2008

Play in the 11 annual USASA Veteran’s Cup ended on Sunday, July 13 as eighty-four teams competed for titles in thirteen women’s and men’s divisions. This was the second year that the event was held in Bellingham, Washington. The tournament was jointly hosted by the Whatcom Sports Commission and the Washington State Soccer Association. Click here to see the Veteran’s Cup in Pictures!



- USASA Broadcasts Promo on the Tube!

USASA has joined the ranks of YouTube! That’s right; the US Adult Soccer Association Promotional Video is now available for online streaming at the USASA YouTube Channel.

Our little space on the Tube, launched in January 2008, is a way to connect our organization with the rest of the country and the world. If you are not a subscriber yet, we invite you to have a look and join our very modest group of friends. You may also leave comments as well as share the newly feature with others by numerous digital ways.

The USASA Promo provides a brief overview on the many different programs and benefits that the Association has to offer. In addition, it captures not only the intensity and skill present in highly competitive soccer matches, but also the overall passion for the game from a more recreational level.

Additionally to YouTube, this audiovisual piece has been conveniently publicized on
www.usasa.com for your enjoyment.

- Veteran’s Cup on the lookout! - Any Takers?

A date for the annual USASA Veteran’s Cup has been set for July 8-13, 2008 and is being held at the Northwest Soccer Park in Bellingham, WA.

Referees are needed, and that’s why event coordinators are already looking for those individuals who would like to referee the exciting 2008 tournament!

Because of the level of play, they are looking for officials that are Grade "7" and above. Officials will need approval of their State SRA to travel to Bellingham and are expected to arrive by mid-day on Tuesday, July 8, 2008. 

Although referees will not be paid for working during this event, housing and meals will be provided. If you are a referee and are interested in working the National Championship, please complete the Veterans Cup Referee Form. You will be contacted by March 2008 if selected.
