INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 7, 2008) — USASA is pleased to announce that members and other soccer fans can now follow the action of the 2008 USASA National Cups and its regional qualifying rounds online at www.usasa.com.
For up-to-date scores, standings, schedules, field locations, team information and more, just click on the National Cups 2008 link in the top left corner of USASA’s homepage and you will be taken to the center of the National Cups coverage.
USASA's Coed Cup Set for October 2008
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 7, 2008) — By Jim Sadowski; Jeanne Smith, Coed Cup Committee.
After a two year break, the USASA Coed Cup is returning to Dallas, Texas, and will be played at Russell Creek Sports Complex on October 24-26, 2008. Scheduling the event in October will allow the teams to play in the more forgiving fall weather – avoiding the hot summer months.
New to the 2008 event will be the introduction of an Over 40 competition.
Pat Sweeney, an inspiration to USASA and many others
 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 7, 2008) — When Patrick Sweeney started playing soccer, he knew that the game was going to be the passion of his life.
“I love soccer so much because you can always learn something new; you never get tired of it. I was 5 years-old when I was first introduced to soccer and I have enjoyed it since” said Sweeney.

That’s right; the US Adult Soccer Association Promotional Video is now available for online streaming at the USASA YouTube Channel.
Our little space on the Tube, launched in January 2008, is a way to connect our organization with the rest of the country and the world.

Recharge® Named Official Sports Drink of the USASA
 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 7, 2008) — The United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA), the governing body of amateur adult soccer in the U.S., entered into a multi-year agreement with Recharge®, the first all-natural sports drink introduced in 1985, made by R.W. Knudsen Family®.
The USASA named Recharge its official sports drink and plans to unveil a new program called “Recharge Team of the Year.”
USASA Selects Sites for Upcoming Events
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 7, 2008) — The United States Adult Soccer Association is pleased to announce the awarding of its National Events for the upcoming years of 2009 and 2010.
The National Cups Finals, the Association’s most prestigious competition, will be held in Orlando, Florida in August, 2009.
U.S. Soccer Mourns the Loss of Bill Goaziou
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 5, 2008) — U.S. Soccer mourns the loss of long-time Board Member Bill Goaziou, who passed away on April 30 at the age of 68 after battling emphysema. A four-term U.S. Soccer Treasurer, he had been involved in soccer as a coach and an administrator for more than 25 years.
“All of us in the U.S. Soccer community have lost a great partner and a dear friend,” said U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati.
Region II Set to Kick Off Open Cup Qualifiers
National Cups 2008
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 2, 2008) - Eight teams from USASA’s Region II are scheduled to begin the first round of qualifications in the Open Division on May 3, 2008.
Illinois’ RWB Adria will take on the Carpathia Kickers (Michigan) at Carpathia Club. Kickers are the 2007 fall champions of the Michigan Premier League and the MPL League Cup winners.
Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Heats Up!
Indianapolis, IN – April 3, 2008 – As the US Open Cup Tournament fast approaches, the USASA teams move forward in the rounds of qualification. The two finalists of each of the four USASA regions qualify for the 2008 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.
