2010 USASA Hall of Fame Inductee Class Announced

The United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA), the governing body of amateur adult soccer in the U.S., announces the individuals selected to the USASA Hall of Fame, Class of 2010. The honorees will be inducted at the USASA Hall of Fame Ceremony Awards Dinner on Friday, October 8th, during the USASA Midyear Meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Inductees were chosen on the basis of having made a significant contribution toward the development and advancement of adult amateur soccer at the national or regional level. The Class of 2010, chosen by the USASA Hall of Fame Committee, includes: Eric Beck, Frank Giancroce, James D. Hamilton, F Patrick Healy (posthumous), Brooks McCormick, Abner Rogers and Jerry Zanelli.

Hall of Fame Committee Chairman Bruno Trapikas, commenting on this year’s selections, said “USASA is deeply appreciative for the contributions made by this year’s inductees to the growth of the game and to the growth of the organization. The seven selected individuals showcase the broad spectrum of efforts which go into building the game, as well as indicating the geographical scope of the organization, as they are dispersed from coast-to-coast-to-coast.”

Brief summaries of the newest USASA Hall of Fame Inductees appear below. USASA will take a more in-depth look in coming months, featuring detailed bios on two inductees at a time in the upcoming months. Stay tuned!
