Cezar Wislocki-Wasecki has been formally elected as President of the Massachusetts Amateur Soccer Association, succeeding previous President Pasquale Puleo. In addition, we welcome Steve Siniscalchi as the new organization’s Secretary.
The appointment was made official at the Association’s Annual General Meeting held on March 31, 2008.
Meet the President…
Cezar Wislocki-Wasecki has been involved in soccer since the age of 7.
“I grew up playing soccer for a local Division 2 Club (Lunds BK) in Sweden. The most famous player from my club was Martin Dahlin. Some of you might remember him from the 1994 World Cup” explained the newly president.
He continued to play at Salem State College, and as a passionate individual that Cezar is, he went on to play in the Amateur League of Bay State Soccer League of Massachusetts.
“For the past 15 years I have been involved with soccer as a player, coach, and administrator. During my tenure as President at Bay State Soccer League (BSSL), we implemented a very solid foundation of by-laws and rules that we follow strictly” said Cezar explaining that he is certain how to serve and assist teams and players.
“I believe that my administrative experience in combination with professional background in program and project management will serve the MASS association well.”
Wislocki-Wasecki joined the Massachusetts Amateur Soccer Association about five years ago; today he serves as the President.
“It is an honor and a big responsibility to have been elected as the
new President for MASS. I have a tough act to follow as Pasquale Puleo did a wonderful job for this Association and its 12,000 soccer players.”
Although it has been a few days since being elected, Cezar is already developing ideas for the benefit of the Massachusetts Association.
“It is my intent to bring leadership, vision, passion, and a fresh new direction to the MASS Amateur Soccer Association. In the upcoming year our focus will be on winning the bid to host the Veterans’ Cup in Massachusetts, updating our technology infrastructure, and creating a number of committees to evaluate new opportunities to continue the growth of soccer in our state.”
