Baltimore Colts FC make it a double. The Colts will play in the Open & Amateur Cups at the USASA Region I Finals after defeating the youthful Baltimore Bays 2-1 at Rockburn Park, Maryland on March 9.
Adam Hack of the Colts connected twice during the Sunday match by scoring the last goal with a corner kick header to pace the
team. Matt Tyrie of the Bays gained his team a tally mark but the Colts held on to their lead for the entire second half to take the title.
The Baltimore Colts FC advanced to the USASA Region I round of the U.S. Open Cup after shutting out Maryland Allyance FC 4-0 at the Soccerplex in Germantown, Maryland on March 2.
For the third time since 2003, Baltimore Colts FC will represent Maryland in the Region I U.S. Open Cup Finals.
Over 30 Cup State Champions
The Christos/Colts United won over the Over 30 showdown as it blanked Maryland Allyance FC with a goal from Pat Crawford and Mike Barger on March 16. With the win, the team advances to the Region I qualifiers of the Over 30 Cup.
The Maryland qualifiers for the USASA Cups are completed with the Baltimore Colts FC representing the State in the U.S. Open Cup and and Amateur Cups, and Christos/Colts United in the Over 30 Cup. The Under 23 Cups entries will come out in May.
