Brooks McCormick Re-elected USASA Chairman
National and Regional Elections at the AGM

March 6, 2008

Brooks McCormick, incumbent USASA Chairman, was formally voted and re-elected as Chairman of the U.S. Adult Soccer Association at the Organization’s Council Meeting on Friday (February 15). The appointment was made official on the second day of the U.S. Soccer’s 2008 Annual General Meeting being held in Waikoloa, Hawaii.

Valerie Blanchenay was re-elected USASA Secretary, and Werner Fricker Jr. re-assigned as Member At Large – both were unopposed.

As part of the USASA’s AGM Agenda, Regional Meetings of each of the four USASA Regions were held on Friday as well.

Richard Groff of Pennsylvania was designated Region I Director, succeeding previous Director Larry Frisoli. Matthew Krywonos was re-appointed Secretary.

At the Region II meeting, representatives re-elected both, Deputy Director George Chazaro, and Treasurer Bill Davey.

USASA Region III Director Carlos Rodriguez was re-appointed as well as Region’s Secretary, Charlsa Moore.

As for Region IV, Mike Maloney was re-elected Deputy Director, and Graham Biles was re-appointed Treasurer.

Upcoming Plans

Brooks McCormick is ecstatic to serve for another term as the USASA Chairman. He will continue the progress in making the National Office more professional and following best practices in how to run the organization to better serve the USASA Membership.

As USASA continues to build on the ability to communicate directly with the membership, the marketing power of over 250,000 becomes an influential tool for the association to secure potential sponsors. As Chairman, Brooks will use his professional experience to assist National Administrator when needed to do presentations for potential sponsors.

As online registration continues to roll out, McCormick will appoint an advisory panel to help with reporting any problems. This panel will expedite problem solving as well as help guide future development to better serve the USASA membership.

“We are starting to see the results of the past two years work. It is only the beginning of what is yet to come from our talented staff and Executive Committee who will work with our membership to grow and serve USASA for many years to come. We have seen much transition and the initial benefits of that hard work. I am excited about the new direction and potential; and the future is quite bright” said USASA Chairman, Brooks McCormick.

Brooks was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL and holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of South Florida. He was the owner and president of McCormick Insurance Agency for almost two decades, business that he sold only a few years ago.
