The United States Adult Soccer Association has set a date for its Mid Year Meeting and Workshops.
Save the date, as the national event will be held at the facilities of Marriott River Walk in historic San Antonio, Texas on October 9-12, 2008.
The meeting welcomes over three-hundred attendees annually including Administrators, Coaches, and Referees from across
the country.
The selection of this year’s site was based on a mixture of history, quality and unique local eatery, and great nightlife, shops and entertainment; all within walking distance from the host hotel.
The Alamo, the Five Missions along the San Antonio River, the Japanese Tea Gardens, the Tower of The Americas, the Shops of La Villita, El Mercado, and the renowned River Walk are among San Antonio’s sceneries that will make the 2008 Mid Year Meeting an enjoyable and productive occasion.
Registration sessions and a Welcome Reception are slated for the first night of the event, followed by a full day of Regional Meetings as well as the celebration of the 2008 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Workshops, vendor exhibits, and a Luncheon honoring the Coach and Referee of the Year comprise day three. The eventful weekend comes to a close on day four, as the Council Meeting is held for discussing and reviewing affairs relevant to Adult Soccer.
The Organization could not forget about your favorites: Soccer Pick-up Game and Golf-Outing; after all, what would the Mid Year Meeting be without these activities? Look out for updates on these fun outings and more.
The Mid Year Meeting and Workshops serves as USASA’s national meeting. Every year, representatives from each of the four USASA Regions discuss administrative issues, new programs and ideas, as well as conduct various other businesses during the course of the event. The intent of the Mid Year Meeting is to improve soccer programs among adults, as the USASA is the largest Adult Soccer group in the United States.
