Colorado State Soccer Association Elects New President

The Colorado State Soccer Association (CSSA) starts off the New Year with a new President.

David Campos, a native of Guadalajara, Mexico, has been officially elected as the President of the Colorado association.

Mr. Campos, who has been involved in the game for over twenty years, started his soccer career back in 1987 as a professional player for “Club Guadalajara” in Mexico.

When David moved to Denver, CO, in 1992, he joined “Team Guadalajara” of Denver as an amateur player, and for the last ten years he has served as the coach and manager for the CSSA affiliated team.

Campos, a soccer savvy, was appointed Chairman of the Colorado Interliga in 2006, and has been the “Sports Ambassador” of the Mexican Consulate in Denver since 2003.

With an extensive soccer background, he has been awarded with the “CSSA State Cup Coach of the Year” for the last three consecutive years starting in 2005.

“I am excited to be the new President, and I’m looking forward to the challenge in helping adult soccer get to the next level and grow in Colorado” the newly president said.

He currently serves as the Manager of the Soccer Country Indoor Arena; complex sanctioned by the Colorado State Soccer Association.
