For the first time in the history of Eastern Pennsylvania State Cups, two teams from the same club took the field against each other to decide the Amateur Champion.

On Sunday, April 6, the Major Team and Reserve Team from the German Hungarians took part in this contest.
In the first half, the Major Team applied most of the pressure, resulting in the only goal of the game. As the defender attempted to clear the ball from the box, Lou Daniele got in the way and the attempt ended up in the back of the net. Both teams continued to have chances, however the score stayed in favor of the Major Team 1-0.
The German Hungarian Major Team (USASA Amateur Cup Champions – 1965, Finalists –1964, 1971, 1977, 1999: USASA Open Cup Champions – 1999, Finalists – 1978, 1993) defeated PA Rush back on December 9th to win the EPSA Open Cup and earned a spot in USASA’s Region I competition.
