Come and join the Utah Soccer Association in their annual Referee Clinic this Summer!
The special entry level workshop will be offered to all Association members who are interested in becoming game officials for all the numerous games the Association hosts throughout the year.
“The clinic is an opportunity for those individuals who have been players as long as they can remember” said State Referee Instructor Kevin Griffiths. “Refereeing is a great transition point to stay in the game, and give back to the game” he added.
This is the third year the clinic has been held. “We hold two workshops a year and we welcome an average of twenty people, some learn really fast and have even become official Referees for the Utah Soccer Association” stated the Instructor.
Kevin Griffiths has been a USSF Certified Referee for nineteen years, and State Referee of Utah for four years.
The course will be held during the month of July, although a date has not been set yet, the schedule should run as follows:
Thursday - 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 P.M.
Friday - 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 P.M.
Saturday - 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 P.M.
The clinic will take place at Westminster College (1200 East 1700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah).
